HUNTER EWING
Hunter Ewing has devoted a long and respected career to serving high-net-worth individuals and family offices, specializing in insurance strategies for owners and executives of privately and publicly held businesses. He has extensive experience in estate and charitable planning, non-qualified benefit and compensation plans, along with key person and buy-sell agreement funding. Hunter began his career in the life insurance industry with Northwestern Mutual in 1994. He later became a partner with a specialty insurance firm in Atlanta. In 2013, he founded Ewing & Company. He then merged Ewing & Company with Wilkins Insurance Group to found High Ground Company.
An active participant in industry organizations, Hunter is a past committee chair of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting in Washington, D.C., and Secretary of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council.
He is often invited to address industry and related conferences, and authors articles that appear in a variety of industry and related journals.
Hunter holds a B.A. in English from the University of the South and an M.B.A. with emphasis in finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. His certifications include the CLU and ChFC designations awarded by the American College.
A native Atlantan, Hunter is married to Lisa and has three children, Hunter III, Peter and Annabelle. He loves to hunt, fish, go camping, split wood, play golf and snow ski. The Ewing’s attend The Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.
